I am writing to thank you following the huge success of our Pathways to Success Conference that we held at the Llangollen Pavilion last month. The Pavilion was an excellent venue for this major event, and we took advantage of its great versatility. The setting of the Pavilion in the lovely Vale of Llangollen would be hard to better – a wow factor before you even enter the building! Our guests on the day were really impressed. The Foyer looked great and worked well for registration and as an operations centre. The auditorium looked perfect with excellent event lighting and staging – it was really impressive that we could seat 300 and still have display bays around the room for our 10 schools and colleges. The adjoining gallery worked well as we could display students work at the same time as providing a refreshment area, and the Caterers were very happy with the kitchen and servery facilities.

The bar deck and conference rooms worked well for the enterprise project, workshops and School Council, and having the use of the arena was brilliant and a perfect area for the outdoor education displays on the stage together with the command tasks with the Army, BMX biking and abseiling (!) with Pro Active and other providers.

The feedback we have had from participants and guests has been full of praise for the venue. We had very positive comments about the range of facilities, plentiful easy free parking, and the whole ambience of the place. The latter is a stand out feature, and its probably a mixture of the beautiful location and the fifty years plus of the International Musical Eisteddfod that imbue the place with joy.

“What the guests would not have picked up on was the excellent support we had behind the scenes from you staff. They could not have been more helpful in helping us plan and stage the event. Your technical staff worked really well with our sound and lighting people and it was so easy to work with Geoff on the organisation and set up. His amenability, and of all other colleagues, not only took away much potential stress but made managing the event an absolute pleasure.
I wish you every success for the future and I look forward to our next event that we have booked for September.”
